From the moment we arrived at Suman Beach Rooms, we felt like special guests in a family home. Located just a 3‑minute stroll from the serene Nilaveli Beach, this cozy B&B is in a perfect spot for easy beach days and exploring nearby attractions like Pigeon Island National Park and the Kanniya Hot Springs . Our room was spacious – with a private bathroom, balcony overlooking the garden, crisp AC, reliable Wi‑Fi, and great comfort overall . It quickly became our peaceful little haven after a day in the sun. But what truly set this place apart was the warmth of the hosts—Suman, Mallika, and their family. They greeted us even during our early arrival, having our room already prepared . Mallika’s home‑cooked Sri Lankan breakfast on the terrace was a daily treat—delicious, generous, and served with heartfelt kindness . The atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming—complete with friendly cats, chickens wandering through the garden, and a homely ambience that truly made us feel “at home” . They went above and beyond by helping arrange tuk‑tuks, and transfers, you name it—with helpful, local insider knowledge . In short: Location: 2–3 minute walk to the beach, with easy access to local attractions Accommodation: Clean, comfortable rooms with AC, private bathroom, balcony/garden view Hosts: Exceptionally friendly, considerate, and accommodating Extras: Tasty breakfasts, reliable Wi‑Fi, bike/tuk‑tuk tours, laundry, on‑site parking We wholeheartedly recommend Suman Beach Rooms if you're after a genuine, comfortable, and caring place to stay in Nilaveli. So close to the beach, just 5 minutes walking. The lady, so nice, prepares delicious breakfasts served directly at your room's outdoor table. They can arrange you laundry, tuktuk service. The courtyard is so relaxing with palm trees all around. They don't prepare dinner, but you have plenty of choice around in the village, where you can go walking in few minutes.

Most beautiful location and place right on the Beach of Nilaveli that makes you feel home and welcome within a nano second. A real gem for the seeker of unspoiled beaches that don’t want to miss out on luxury and excellent food. Rooms are spacious, stylish, with ocean view and very comfy! Amazing, kind and very helpful hotel manager and staff. Delicious and big breakfast with fresh food & selection of different singhalese flavors/tastes. We were even made coconut roti for breakfast when stating we never had any. And it came just complementary! Also dinner is most enjoyable, not just the food but also sitting outside right by the beach. When asking about activities they were organized right away. As we had a bit of a journey ahead of us on the last day even a meal on the house was prepared, without us asking for it und and on the house.

Amazing stay in a beautiful and quiet area on nilavelli beach. The Cabana was clean and spacious and right on the beach. Amal is an amazing host happy to organise activities and arranged pur driver to our next location. He cooks wonderful breakfasts too.
