Priyanga was very kind and helpful, he cooked us the best meals that offered some variety from what ate on our trip, gave us good tips and helped us organise our next activity. He even preprared some homemade medicine for a sore throat! We are really grateful to have had him as our host, we will always remember his hospitality. Greetings to you, Priyanga! The house‘s location is a 10/10, less than a 15 min drive from the Adam‘s Peak start and is surrounded by a great landscape, especially in comparison to Dalhousie (where the hike starts), so it‘s really worth the short ride.

Extraordinary place with fantastic owners and views. Big + for fantastic, local food. That was the only place we drank a good coffee and we ate fantastic dishes. Please, do something with the lake! It's beautiful! It's more interesting than Adam's Peak. Buy some kayaks!

It's very quiet, in front of tea plantations, and comfortable. The host is very friendly and the dinner and breakfast are delicious!!!!! It's a 15min tuk tuk drive from the train station. Definitely reccommend 🙂

We stayed here for a couple of nights because we wanted to climb the Adam's Peak and well, the Water Side Residence was the perfect choice for us - it's located near the entrance of the hiking trail for the Adam's Peak (like 5-10 minutes walk or less). The hosts were lovely, ready to share tips/suggestions for the hike, as well as ready to answer any questions we might have (not only related to the Adam's Peak). There's a cafeteria upstairs, at the entrance, and you must try the food there - everything was so delicious, from the noodles to the omelets and all the fresh fruit juices! Our room was a wooden cabin a few floors downstairs from the cafeteria. It was so peaceful there! Beds were comfortable, there was hot water for the shower, plenty of power plugs, and there were mosquito nets at the entrance (so we could keep the windows open during night to cool the air in the cabin). Would definitely recommend this place if you plan to climb the Adam's Peak :)

Celebrating New Year’s Eve here was unforgettable. The team hosted a wonderful party that made us feel truly special with fantastic ambiance, food, fireworks and lanterns. What sets The Argyle apart is its exceptional staff. A heartfelt thanks to Vithugash who was just amazing and truly made our stay, Suren and Rushi for expertly organizing our trip to Adam’s Peak and onward travel, and our fantastic driver, Nishan.     The location is easily accessible from the main road and parking is available. The view is exceptionally beautiful. The family room we booked is spacious, clean and comfortable. We were warmly welcomed and host and the staff were friendly and helpfull and did the maximum to make our stay enjoyable.Surely they know what they are to do. Meals were delicious. The hospitality we received is best. Definitely worth the money spent. Would visit again.
