I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing convenience, and the outdoor pool was a great place to unwind. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who truly made an effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Nalinda has an 3 bed room to rent to hikers and other visitors. He is attentionate and can have meals prepared. The place is about 25mn from the start/end of the pekoe trail stage but it's on the road so you may find a tuktuk to get you there.

This is a carefully designed small cottage. Compact but very comfortable. Out door sitting areas, stoned carved seats and bath tubs, swings, tree house nets. Kids loved it. We loved the peaceful nature and the calm environment.

Everything was perfect, the rooms, cleanliness, facilities and especially the breakfast.

Fantastic stay in a central but quiet position, 10 min walk to Victoria Park or downtown. Very c9mfortabke stay.We lived the patio with the 2 swings, the enormous jacuzzi and plenty of hot water, the heater for the cool nights. The food was delicious both for breakfast and dinner. They gave us complimentary hot drinks at arrival and check out and many other complimentary things, will keep them a secret.:) The staff was great, polite, and smiling. The garden and flowers are pure beauty! Le Grande villa gives you a very boutique feel. They accept Visa, Mastercard incl.Revolut. It didn't work on through my phone but the physical R card worked, in case this might interest anyone. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Would prefer over the Grand, for the boutique feel.

We had a wonderful stay at the home stay. The owner helped us with everything and was really kind. We were greeted with a warm welcome. The rooms are also very clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone.

If you’re doubting on whether you should stay here then this is your sign to do it! We absolutely think this is the kind of homestay experience that makes traveling worthwhile. We felt taken care of from the moment we arrived at Nanu Oya station (where the host waited for us with a cute name sign and his car to bring us) till the end when the owner dropped us of at te station. The owner is a wonderful tourguide as well, we went for a beautiful hike in the tea fields, his wife and daughter served us delicious food (really!) and our last minute laundry request was also no problem. They do everything to make you feel welcome. One of our highlights whilst traveling Sri Lanka. Go for it! Food was stellar!

Good location for exploring sorroundings, even though it is a bit far from the city centre. The owners are very nice, helpful and caring and the breakfast are just another level. We stayed 3 nights and we did a best choise we could in Nuwara Eliya.

Piyal was a total gentleman. He was hospitable, informative, and efficient. He organised transport for us ( both during and onwards)made phone calls and booked the cultural show for us. I think he spoke better English than me!!! The Grove itself is beautiful. It had all the facilities required ( no refrigerator in room or kettle but filter water available on tap in the shared lounge and Tea/ coffee on request). It was spotlessly clean. Dinner was available via the hotel next door- it was brought over for you so you wouldn't really have noticed. Beer was also available. There was also a pool next door, a 3 minute walk. It has spectacular views- one of the highlights of the Grove.

If we could rate Cabin 7000ft higher than 10/10, we absolutely would! This place is an experience in itself. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, and the level of care and service was outstanding. The location is simply breathtaking. Perched above Sri Lanka’s highest village, the views stretch endlessly over rolling farmland, where highland vegetables grow in neat rows, and behind the cabin lies a dense forest, home to local wildlife. Watching the landscape change with the light was magical. The cabin itself is a dream—spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and instantly inviting. You arrive, take a deep breath, and feel at home. Everything is well-maintained, and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into every detail. What really stood out was the hospitality. Not only were we looked after with great care, but even our guide/driver was well accommodated. The owner was always there with a smile, ready to help, even suggesting a beautiful hiking route and making sure we were set up for a great walk. A personal highlight: my partner’s birthday fell during our stay, and to our surprise, she was gifted a beautiful birthday cake—a gesture that truly made the day extra special. We also dined at the cabin, and it was one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. The owner and his wife clearly have a passion for good food, and it was a pleasure to taste it. Communication was seamless from the start, with quick and easy WhatsApp contact, making everything effortless. Cabin 7000ft is more than just a stay—it’s a special place that lingers in your memory long after you leave. Highly, highly recommended!
