Very nice and relaxed place managed by equally nice and warm people. The manager of Thambu Illam, Mathu ensured that all our requirements met precisely and Sudha ensured that our stay at the property was comfortable. Both gentlemen said call their personal phone numbers anytime if we need any assistance. The team was very friendly with our children and the kids did not want to leave.

It is worth staying here because of the owner - Tony is a smiling, helpful and nice man. Helped us not only to find a delicious and inexpensive place to eat in the area but also to plan a great time during stay in Jaffna. You can see & feel how important the guests and their satisfaction are to him! I booked this property for my parents and their cousins. They really enjoyed the stay. They told me that the manager and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. They also mentioned that the breakfast was as really tasty with a good spread of authentic SL food.

The house owner Mr Biren Mahendran is very cooperative when booking the house. And the location is very peaceful, beautiful and secure. Well sufficient for a family or a group. Rooms are well cleaned and furniture are modern. Having a modern kitchen with all the necessary equipment. Really enjoyed the stay. The caretaker Mr Kerthi was very much helpful and he's fluent in Sinhala and English. Worth the money. Located in 550m away from Jaffna-KKS road and 9.5 Km away from Jaffna.

I had a wonderful stay here. The location is very central, making it easy to get around Jaffna. Despite being in the city, it's a peaceful and quiet place to relax. The rooms are equipped with good air conditioning and nice showers. There are both ground and upper floor options available. Every morning, you can choose the type of breakfast you prefer, and the breakfast itself is tasty and fresh. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I also had the chance to meet the owner we had some great conversations. You can really feel the passion behind this place, and it shows in the care and attention given to guests. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jaffna!
