It was an amazing experience staying there. It has a very special and cosy atmosphere. All the staff were very polite an helpful with a smile! I only stayed one night but the morning I woke up I saw several reindeers just outside my window casually eating. It's really close both to the port and the city centre. I would definitely choose the same hotel to stay the next time I'll visit the island!

I was greeted with my name at the door and the staff were all so friendly, kind, and helpful. It felt like I was talking to friends whenever I needed help with anything. They arranged excursions for me which were lots of fun and I really recommend, especially the husky sledding. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and the style of the interior of the hotel is beautiful and unique. It had a lot of character. The breakfast was tasty with a variety of choices and the chef takes one’s allergies into account. There is free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in reception and it was nice to sit there with other guests and have a drink with locally produced alcohol. The location is along the main shopping street of Longyearbyen and the airport bus stops right outside. Absolutely lovely experience. I will certainly come again.
