I was impressed by how nice and luxurious this hotel was. We've had a twin room with Mississippi river views and it was so spacious that the window felt very far away from the bed. 😅 Even though it wasn't the newest, everything still looked good and you could tell high quality materials were used to furnish it. Beds were big and comfortable, room was quiet, more than enough toiletries in the bathroom and a ton of towels. Located in a nice, clean, safe neighborhood: 10 minutes walk to the French Quarter, 5 minutes walk to the trolley station, 3 minutes walk to a specialty coffee place, what's more to wish for? We even got an Uber discount for staying at this hotel, around 20$.

Our stay at "The Haunted Hotel" during Mardi Gras week was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, the exceptional staff made us feel right at home. Their welcoming and helpful demeanor truly enhanced our experience, and Christina, in particular, stood out as super helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, from providing insightful tips for activities and restaurants to being readily available whenever we had a question or request. The location of the hotel couldn't have been better. Nestled between the vibrant Bourbon Street and the lively Frenchman Street, it struck the perfect balance, allowing us easy access to the best bars and attractions without being overwhelmed by the crowds. We stayed in room B5 in the lower courtyard, which was not only comfortable but also conveniently located for enjoying the courtyard during the hot weather. The hotel's ambiance perfectly complemented the spirit of New Orleans. Embracing the history of the New Orleans Axeman, the atmosphere was both intriguing and welcoming. Despite being in the midst of Mardi Gras festivities, the street itself remained quiet and safe, providing a peaceful retreat when needed. Our room exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and amenities. The spacious bathroom with twin sinks was a nice touch, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We appreciated the fridge for keeping our drinks cold, the coffee machine for our morning pick-me-up, and the large TV for unwinding after a day of exploring. The highlight for us was the expansive courtyard, which offered a cool respite from the New Orleans heat. It would undoubtedly be the perfect spot for pre-drinks with a larger group. Really nice atmosphere, with a pleasant fountain garden and a nice 7-foot deep pool. We liked the lobby and parking valet service. It's got the style and character of an older place but is nicely maintained and updated in the right places (such as our bathroom, which was clean and tasteful.
