Breakfast was delicious and individual preferences and requests were considered. We appreciated the care that went into making each meal special. Bed was comfortable and the decor was charming. We thought the lodging, considering the breakfast provided, was an excellent value. Gardens were amazing.

My husband and I stayed at The Tides Inn while in town for a wedding, and we absolutely fell in love with The Tides Inn. We ended up with a water view room with a veranda. We really enjoyed watching the sunrise on our first morning there. It was absolutely beautiful and so tranquil. The staff was really inviting and friendly and very helpful with suggestions. They were also very accommodating. We arrived right around the time of our dinner reservation at Salt & Meadow. They were very nice and were willing to move it back a couple of minutes, so we could change before going to dinner. The property is absolutely stunning. I love how they connect with the ecosystem and environment of the Chesapeake Bay. While we were there, we had already decided to book another room for our anniversary in November, that's how much we loved it. We hope to make The Tides Inn a reoccurring destination for us, especially when we want a wonderful weekend away.

Wonderful house and river view. Breakfast was excellent. Our hosts were very nice and informative about the property and dining options in the area. Room was large, comfortable, and quiet.

From Mathews, it's about 5 miles to Foster's Bethel Beach Inn and gracious hosts Carol and David. They have a lovely, tasteful room with terrace and garden to offer. They take care of their guests in a very pleasant manner. The breakfast is exceptionally good. Bicycles are available to get to Bethel Beach in a few minutes. We are very grateful for a kayak tour in the area that was made possible for us. The stay with Carol and David exceeded our expectations. We will be happy to come back again.
