Google says 2-star and Booking.com says 3-star, whichever one it is, it’s alot better than some of the 3-star I have been to in the UK. The hotel is well situated for my intended trip. It was clean, the staff were friendly. My room was clean, spacious and stocked very well with towels. The bed was super comfortable. The lamps were well spaced and bright. Desk with chair, fridge, microwave, arm chair. The dining area had halloween decor which was simple and not over-done. There was one kitchen staff that was there everyday and kept the dining area clean. Breakfast was hot and refilled promptly. Bread, bagels, muffins were always filled. Yoghurt, boiled eggs, butter, cream cheese and milk was readily available. Plastic spoons, forks, knives, paper plates, plastic cups were always stocked also. Waffle machine to make your own waffles. Juice machine. Hot water for tea and coffee. There was mini arcade, where the enclosed pool is also situated. There was also a change machine (bills up to $20 in and quarters out). For someone that does not like travelling back with dirty clothes - the washer and dryer was my favourite. I will definitely stay at Country Inn Muskegon again.

    Toilets wouldn't flush, bathtub was cracked & slippery/unsafe. We booked a guaranteed lake view (marina) and ended up with a south parking lot view mostly.

    the room lighting felt remarkably cozy. The parking lot and the hallway felt a little creepy, so it was quite welcome when I got to my room that it felt safe and homey. The value for the money was honestly decent – it wasn't a good hotel, but they didn't charge a lot for it, so I suppose that's a good thing. The tap water tasted good.

    Not sure if there was a breakfast, my wife and kids would not get out of the car due to the outside appearance. The property was badly run down and there was undesirable activity in the parking lot. I was the only one who stepped foot in the building, though it was cleaner inside, it still was not a place I felt comfortable having my family stay at.
