A wonderful guest house close to Hilo. Absolutely amazing stay and indeed one of our favorites. Many activities around and great offer. Don’t forget to visit (and have breakfast) at legendary Mr Ed‘s Bakery. Wonderful rooms, wonderful common areas. Friendly and super helpful staff on site. Peaceful place in nature. We miss it and will be back sometime indeed.

We can highly recommend the Orchid Tree B&B. It has a great location, close to the city center and the airport. The rooms are tastefully decorated and cozy. The exceptionally friendly landlord is always available to provide helpful tips on dining and sightseeing. The garden is a well-maintained tropical paradise, and breakfast on the terrace is simply heavenly. Everything is wonderful and invites you to stay longer. Definitely worth a visit! A really spacious house, even at full capacity of12 people staying. Plenty of space to sit, eat, relax. Surrounded by beautiful trees. You will need a car, but it's then easy to access volcanoes national park.

The B&B is in a fantastic location, a very quick walk into town, but with the ocean literally on your doorstep. Our beautiful room backed right on the ocean and it was wonderful going to sleep with the sounds of waves. Every morning the cooked breakfast was delicious, and we really appreciated the useful shelves in the B&B filled with snacks, useful pamphlets, bug spray and sunscreen. Our hosts were very friendly and gave fantastic recommendations on things to see and do during our stay in Hilo. We would highly recommend a stay here!
