Our train from Bukhara arrived in Khiva in the early morning. Our plan was to drop off our luggage at the hotel and head into town for breakfast. However, as luck would have it, not only was our room ready to move in, but we were invited to go downstairs for breakfast. A great start! Ulli Oy, a brand new hotel, was opened in January and the final touches are just being completed. It is centrally located within the old town (Ichan Kala) and we were able to get a triple room. Comfortable beds, exceptionally clean, and a delicious breakfast daily. The owners really go out of their way to make sure everything is OK. After our three day visit was over we were sorry to leave as the owners made us feel part of the family. They even helped us to arrange for an early morning taxi to take us to the airport in Urgench.

Very nice hotel with really really big rooms. Went there with family and the well maintained pool was a savior in the heat. A couple of kilometers from the city center, but they have a small electric shuttle going into town for free. We loved to get back to the quiet hotel after a hot day in the city center. The breakfast buffet is quite different if you come from most of European countries, still tasty and the breakfast restaurant decor beats every place I have ever been! Very pleasant and friendly staff, helpful and smiling. Good value for money.

    Great stay.....great hostel, great staff and great location!! Good place for overlander vehicles with safe parking under camera surveillance and then a very short stroll to the old city. Great to support a new hostel with the young host having excellent English and happy to help with anything and everything.

    A charming traditional building that was comfortable with a spacious air conditioned room, and delicious breakfast served in the shady courtyard. Great location within easy walk of the historic old city. Secure parking. And Most importantly the team were fantastic, helping us with local tasks, washing and general advice about how to best enjoy our time in Khiva.
