A perfect, secluded property in the heart of the countryside. Close to de Hoop nature reserve. Beautiful scenery in the fields around us. The house itself has been perfectly renovated. It doesn’t have electricity, but it is set up for that with battery lights and candles. Make sure to bring all you need food-wise (good supermarket in Swellendamm). We had a romantic dinner, then used the fantastic wood fired hot tub and were lucky enough to star gaze and see the milky way!

Beautiful farm with nice dogs around, close to de hoop in the middle of wide farmlands. the hosts are really welcoming, helpful and show and explain farmlands and farming, if you are interested in that. Thank you Niel for that interesting nightdrive! The accommodation itself has everything you need. The furnishing is rustic farm like and very authentic with a lot of beautiful little details. You can order order delicious breakfast and lunch which was authentic delicious southafrican meals made by the Saartjie .(we loved your food) If you travel by car, like nature and animals and you are looking for an authentic accommodation as base for hikes and visiting de Hoop, this is the right place

My friends and I stayed in the farm house over news years 2025. I must say, we were all blown away with how amazing the location and the service was. The views are spectacular and the farm dogs are such pleasant, well behaved and loving visitors! We specifically enjoyed the easy access pool in the back yard which we swam in way too many times to count. We also went out to the river and kayaked as well, Sonja was extremely helpful with directing us and making sure we get there safely. We loved our stay so much we had to book another night and thankfully Sonja was more than happy to have us for one more day on such short notice! We will definitely be back. New favourite holiday spot for sure.

The location on the river is spectacular. The accommodation was well equipped and we did not want for anything. The host was extremely friendly and accomadating. Got the best lamb I ever tasted from the farm. Facilities are well laid out and private. Super safe and no keys, what a wonderful feeling

Good accomodation and also breakfast. Also, the hosts are very kind and flexible (upon arrival we noticed that we made a mistake with regard to booking date but they managed to adjust the reservation to the correct date). Would definitely recommend.

We were made to feel very welcome, lovely to see the zebra and springboks at the bottom of the garden, birds nesting and wild life in general. Lovely peaceful setting, everything in the spacious room you could possibly need. Lovely breakfast and nice that the car was washed for our onward journey

The rooms are big and clean. The personal attention was very nice, they think of every detail to make our stay the best as they can. Even before we were leaving we got some cookies to the road. Highly recommended.

The area where it is situated, serene and peaceful yet on the main road of the town. A nice and cozy space with privacy. The food was amazing, facilities were clean and in perfect working condition, i give them 10/10!
