We had an absolutely magical stay at this charming cottage nestled in nature. The highlight of our experience was undoubtedly the wooden hot tub under the stars - a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. What an excellent idea to book this magical place for one night. Chris the owner, was in Heidelberg by chance, met us and drove ahed of us to the villa. He gave us a great tour around the large property, which was a good idea, because the weather turned for the worse and we wouldn't have seen these beautiful vistas on the day of departure. Chris told us that he and his neighbour take good care of these large parcels of land, which mostly remain off bounds to tourists, are kept in their natural state and all non-indigenous trees are being removed. Our grandkids loved the villa's music-room and the biljart table. We all enjoyed being in this quiet, peaceful property that was filled with the owner's pieces of art, gathered from all or the world. We really felt that we were staying in someone's private home instead of in a holiday rental. Of course, as always, the big mistake was ,only book it for one night...

Linda and Peter were very friendly. Peter took time to explain how the farm worked to my husband which he really appreciated. Linda came with medicine for my upset stomach. Added bonus: HOME MADE BREAD so fluffy and utterly delicious! Also milk straight from the cow... we were not expecting these added touches. We felt cherished like part of their family! Another bonus was the horse riding into the mountains! This was a wonderful experience!
