I was so taken with all the trees and plants and I love that they have benches to simply sit and enjoy nature. The shower was phenomenal, the bed was comfortable, and the A/C was superb. I liked that there’s was a little coffee maker complete with filter paper, ground coffee and powdered creamer and I made good use of it in the early morning when I needed to work remotely. Speaking of—the WiFi was excellent and I had no issues with any of the conference calls I had during my stay. Lastly, I’m very impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. There was always someone around to ask for help or get a recommendation, without them being helicopter-y. If you need a nature retreat within easy reach of downtown (if you’re into walking) I wholeheartedly recommend this place! It’s especially perfect if you’re backpacking but want a nice, calm place to stay. The bus drops you off at the bottom of the hill and it’s a 5 minute walk.

This property and caretaker David just were above and beyond what we could have hoped for! What a beautiful house with all the amenities just minutes from town. Howler monkeys and plenty of birds made every morning memorable. I have never seen such detail and thought go into the decor and feel of each room. We felt at home here and will be back.

The location was great, very easy to get to local restaurants and shops, and also very handy for the Mayan attractions nearby. The cost was very reasonable. Highly recommended!
