Well equipped cabins overlooking the bay. Very efficiently arranged. Nice outside deck, covered parking. Great breakfast and for all an excellent value. We highly recommend! A family hostel with great care. Very clean and furnished with many small details, making the hostel feel very warm. Equipped with kitchen, kitchen utensils are very complete and clean. We wanted to visit some of the more than ten wooden churches on the island. The boss gave us a lot of detailed travel advice, which benefited us very much. The location of the hotel is also very good, 10 minutes walk from the bus stop, with sea view rooms, really beautiful! We had a nice stay here for four nights.

The house itself is stunning, filled with beautiful artwork in every corner, creating a warm and creative atmosphere. Everything is impeccably clean, and the location is perfect for exploring. But what made my experience truly unique and unforgettable was the host, Miguel. He is, if not the best, one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met in my life. Kind, hospitable, generous, kind-hearted, cheerful, and easygoing. I don’t have enough adjectives to describe how amazing he is! Thanks to him, I learned so much about Chilean traditions, especially those of Chiloé, as well as its gastronomy and history. If I ever return to Chile (and I definitely will!), I’ll make sure to come back to Castro just to see Miguel again. This place isn’t just a hostel; it’s a home away from home, thanks to the incredible host. 100% recommended!

Cute cabin with a wood stove for heating. The wood stove worked very well and wood was restocked in the cabin each day. Beds are super cozy with lots of blankets to keep you warm. Great views of the bay. Enjoyed viewing the birds and the bay upon waking each morning. Great hot water shower without waiting for water to heat up. Need a car to get to this location but it is only a short drive to Castro. Nice and quiet area. Would have stayed here longer had my itinerary allowed.
