At the guest house, all units have a balcony. All units include private entrance. At the guest house, all units are fitted with a private bathroom with a bath. We were very well received by our hosts. They don't have electrical power, so they use solar panels to provide their guests with electricity and warm water, because of this we felt very lucky and welcome there, since they don't even have a fridge, so they can provide this to their guests. The food is also incredible and they serve very well, with great breakfast. They also were able to provide us transfer and a guide to climb the volcano, who was very kind and help us a lot. We recommend this place if you plan to climb the volcano.

Basic but decent breakfast (I ask it to serve at 6am before the hiking Fogo, and it was there exactly at time). The views from the public terrace of Sao Filipe are stunning. I stayed in the luxury room 10 two nights and it was so beautiful with a very high ceiling, a full two door window that opens to purple bougainvillea and the same gorgeous view as the terrace. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have tried in my life, firm but still soft. The workers are nice and helpful if you need any help planning a trip to the volcano, etc. The owner is generous and kind and the atmosphere among the staff is comfortable. Breakfast is a fancy version of a typical Cabo Verde breakfast: white bread, boiled eggs, guava jelly, Fogo traditional cheese, papaya, etc. The location is in the heart of Sao Filipe and walking distance to all the restaurants and the black beach.

Katya is very welcoming, cooks very (very very) well and takes care of her client like no one did in Cap Verde. We have spent 2 weeks in Cabo Verde and haven’t met anyone that kind, welcoming and helpful. The place is also amazing. Out of nowhere, facing the sea, natural swimming pool… you name it! Katya also offers a few options to discover Fogo island like pico de fogo.

The place was perfect for us: great location, wonderfull view on the caldeira and on the volcano, quality of the staff, size of the room, good food made by them. They have done everything to feel at home. Take time to discuss with Adriano, he has many stories to tell you about the caldeira and about Fogo. Thanks Adriano and Filomena for these days on another planet !

They are some of the most warm, welcoming and kind people we have ever met! Their property is in an incredible spot in the caldera with views all around. From the airport pick up, to the amazing home cooked meals, to our guided hike, everything was just great. Highly highly recommend staying here!!
