Such a great location overlooking the valley and seeing the mountain peaks. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Bikes were free to use, easy ride into town. Cooking facilities were great they’ll also cook you food if you request breakfast/dinner. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the doggy. Highly recommend. Thanks so much for having me has been one of my favourite hostels so far.

The hotel feels friendly and comfortable, with a beautiful design full of wood, which also nicely matches its name Maderanegra. The man working in the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. He explained many things to us, even checking the bus schedule. Our room was clean and medium-sized, with a practical wardrobe and plenty of hooks for clothes and bags. Breakfast was a simple but good start to the day (coffee, juice, cheese sandwich, fruit). Not a huge variety, but enough. Latacunga is a good base (much closer than from Quito) to visit Laguna Quilotoa (by cheap public bus from the terminal) and Cotopaxi Nationalpark (by tour).

The incredibly warm welcome of smiles and beautiful hospitality, along with a happy dog and cat, it felt like we were stepping into a home. It was the best and calmest place with A variety of teas, boiling water, drinking water, coffee, homemade cookies and banana bread upon arrival with the fire lit for us to get all cosy after our walk along the trail. Super friendly vibes, community dinner was exceptional and the vegan option was the best I’ve had in Ecuador. The views over the valley are beautiful and clear sky’s meant for tea under the stars in the evening :)

Easy Check in and super friendly host. Great diner, where Victor met our needs as we are fructose intolerance. Bed was comfy, shower was good. Great location final stage of the Quilotoa Loop starts at the hostel. Breakfast was amazing, especially tghe cheese sandwich was insanely good. Got three of them on the Trek. Sauna for 3 USD is also available. Highly recomand to stay.

Amazing hotel! It is very beautiful with the best view over Cotopaxi Volcano from the restaurant. Rooms are very cozy and equipped with heaters. Shower has hot water. The food is delicious - both for dinner and for breakfast. I think we had the best potato soup in Ecuador here. And the best part is the owner who is the nicest and most welcoming person. He can also help you to organize your time in Cotopaxi
