Excellent room, and we went to spa pool everyday for more than half an hour (I can stay longer if I have time), excellent breakfast, bellboy is helpful and responsive when we need our car (they parked for us). Next time I will stay for a week.

Hotel Colón Plaza is a charming hotel set in a 19th-century building. It is on one of the main avenues in the city, the Acera Recoletos. Staff was super-friendly, responsive and efficient in all aspects of the hotel. Breakfast was good and varied, with the added benefit of proper fruit juices - not always a given.

The robes and slippers were so nice. The staff were very welcoming and excellent.

The romantic, secluded patio was a highlight—providing both a peaceful retreat for us and a safe space for our dog to enjoy. Maria José, our host, went above and beyond with her warm hospitality, generously sharing her time and local recommendations. Her homemade pastries at breakfast were simply delicious—a special touch that made each morning something to look forward to. The location is ideal, nestled in a charming town alongside a natural preserve bordering the River Duero. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the excellent hiking opportunities, while families will find plenty to enjoy. We were pleasantly surprised to discover fine dining options nearby, and the proximity to Toro—just a 15-minute drive away—makes this a perfectly positioned base for exploring the region (and its wines). Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful, authentic Spanish countryside experience with all the comforts of home.
