The location is perfect – just a minute from the lake and surrounded by the sweetest little shops in magical Keswick. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. Breakfast was simply fantastic – a high-quality menu with delicious options made to order, plus drinks and homemade granola. Truly one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in a hotel! Our room was gorgeous and thoughtfully decorated, and every day we were treated to fresh homemade cookies waiting for us – such a lovely touch. There’s also private parking which is very convenient. We honestly enjoyed every single moment and didn’t want to leave. We travel a lot, and this is by far our favorite hotel. We will definitely be back!

The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. The hotel sits in its own mature grounds, with beautiful views overlooking the River Rothay.

Free parking is included for guests. Great location, and a very nice property. Great breakfast. Great staff. Would stay here again in a second.

In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. With free parking and free Wi-Fi, it serves hearty breakfasts cooked to order. Guests can swim in the property's off-site pool. Our stay at the guest house was amazing. Room was cosy, spacious and very clean. Breakfast was superb with lots of choices. Staff were very friendly and attentive! Would definitely recommend!

The surrounding National Park offers plenty of scenic routes for walking and cycling, and Ambleside is a 10-minute drive away. Windermere Rail Station is a 5-minute drive from the building. There is free parking and secure bike lock up on site. This guest house is a gem, we loved the friendliness of the staff and our room was lovely - spacious, nicely decorated, and the two windows let in plenty of light with gorgeous views over the old church and farm land. The location was handy to several attractions within an easy driving distamce, and only a short walk to the local pub where we enjoyed a nice meal. The breakfast was outstanding!

The views from the breakfast room are so good it was once listed in The Times Top 10 Most Scenic Restaurants. Good location, very clean and delicious breakfast. Also received a complimentary upgrade

Ambleside Townhouse offers free car parking and a lock-up area for motorcycles and bicycles. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Excellent location. Was able to purchase early parking and check in. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean, bright, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, fruit juices, fruit, yogurt, granola and cereals and a great selection of cooked breakfast choices.

Please call the hotel prior to booking to confirm if there are any events taking place at the hotel during your required dates as there may be loud music until 12am.

You can take several nice short walks in the gardens of the property, one leads to the ruins of the Furness Abbey. Make sure that the hotel does not host a wedding during your stay if you want to avoid loud music

Bowness-On-Windermere's quaint shops and restaurants are just a short walk from The Westbourne. Free parking is available. Excellent location! Very close to the lake a shops. Lovely and clean room. The hosts were extremely kind, warm and helpful. Enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon! Will definitely recommend this to others!
