With a picturesque setting on the banks of the River Dee, this charming Scottish mansion dates back to 1225 AD, and was once home to the Knights Templar. This Hotel is a gem and we have really enjoyed our stay. The Restaurant is a recommendation too because the food is delicious. Only the red wine card could be a bit more sophisticated. Breakfast is served via a buffet but it is possible to order full Scottish breakfast or every type of eggs.

Hot tub was incredible after a long day of hiking in the Cairmgorns and was very easy to use singlehandedly. Kitchen was well stocked.

(Great recommendations for dinner and the following day’s sightseeing! 🤩) The house itself is very beautiful and tastefully renovated. Everything is more than you could ask for. And on top of that is Kira’s outstanding breakfast. All you can think of as a self-service buffet plus a wide selection of freshly cooked warm breakfast meals. If we are back in the area we would definitely stay only at Kira’s B&B.

Location of this accomodation is great. In the same building at Fiddichside in. Which is a great local to go to, really friendly staff, great whisky at great prices. Very close to highlander, craigellachie and easy access to the walk all the way into Aberlour. We love it here and will definitely go back! The lounge, kitchen and rooms were all exactly what we like in a place.
