We were traveling across the Jadran magistrala and stayed one night, they were so helpful and pleasant and like family greeting us, I would definitely go only for this hotel, if not for the great place that Makarska is.

The modernly furnished Hotel Meteor in the picturesque Makarska seaside resort offers elegantly decorated accommodation and an exclusive restaurant with skilfully prepared meals, accompanied by fine Dalmatian wines and free soft drinks from a dispenser. The kids offer was incredible - there were so many things for my 6 year old to do, I loved it. He really enjoyed all of the offering. Also the employees at the kids club were amazing, same with the Spa staff

Family Resort Urania consists of a central building featuring a reception area, beach bar, self-service restaurant and a holiday club. Around this, are arranged the bungalows and apartments. Is mostly for famillies with small kids, but is placed so well between the pines that makes no difference for a couple!

Casa Columba is a beautiful boutique hotel located right off of one of the most charming streets in Makarska. It’s an easy 5 minute walk from the main bus station, making it an easy spot to travel in and out of Makarska. While it’s tucked away in a quiet corner, it’s only a short walk to great restaurants, stores and beaches. The adults-only hotel is beautifully renovated, and very charming. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, masterfully decorated, exceptionally clean and incredibly comfortable. The host, Dino, clearly took a lot of pride in crafting an oasis with this entire space. He, Yan Yan, and Eddie were welcoming and kind, and as a solo traveler I felt both safe and incredibly comfortable. I have to call out Yan Yan in particular for being especially thoughtful, professional and warm. He really helped set a positive tone at the start of every day with exceptional service at breakfast and throughly the day with thoughtful suggestions and recommendations. I can’t say enough about how wonderful he was - his energy was a cherry on top of an already lovely stay. I look forward to recommending Casa Columba to friends and family, and returning again one day!
