Guests can make use of a garden. My family and I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful, newly built villa as the first guests. The house is very bright, lovely decorated and very spacious. It's situated directly on the stunning white sand beach with a wonderful view of the turquoise ocean and nearby little islands. It has two bedrooms, well well-equipped kitchen and large living areas. We were warmly welcomed by a manager at the harbour. All the transportation, boat trips to the islands and the car rental were also easily arranged for us by the owner. The villa is situated in the heart of the main village, so you have easy access to the shops and local warnings. You can watch the fishermen in the morning and easily blend with the local people who are always incredibly friendly.

We wanted somewhere different to spend Christmas and came across Valhalla house online, the house was as amazing as it looks in the pictures and was right on the beach that you have to yourself! The house was clean & comfortable and had everything we needed - water, towels, cooking facilities etc! As the island was quite remote we were struggling to find how to get there and get around but Marcelo, the host, went above and beyond to help us out with flights and ferries. His communication was great, and he gave us some great food recommendations as well as a contact for surf lessons, which we all really enjoyed on Christmas day, and was just so helpful with all of the questions we had! Marcelo also put us in touch with a local, Dolman, who drove us to and from the airport, even though the roads were bad he made it so easy for us to get around by providing bikes at a really good price. Overall we had an amazing stay at Valhalla and would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing time on a paradise island, surrounded by local culture, beautiful beaches and lots surfing!!

Free WiFi is accessible to all guests, while certain rooms are fitted with a terrace. Emilia and her husband were so lovely and helpful and they made sure everything is okay with my stay. They also make great food and the beach is super close. Overall a great homestay.

The homestay has family rooms. My partner and I had the best time staying at Lances Left surfcamp. Bob and everyone working there are such lovely and welcoming people! Right at the beach, awesome sunsets, and good food! Also the beach break and the reef in front are actually super fun surf. But we also had a scooter provided by Bob to get to all other surf spots. Highly recommend staying here, would always come back!!!

Fian is hands down the best surf guide in the area, ensuring we hit all the top surf breaks with ease, including a quick 5-minute ride to Telescopes, one of the best left-handers in the Mentawais. The beach house itself is extremely comfortable and well-equipped, with the option of having delicious lunch and dinner cooked right on the property. Multiple boats are available to take you to the best surf spots around, making this surf experience exceptional. Highly recommend this place, and we are definitely coming back! Don’t waste your money staying at one of the nearby overpriced, overcrowded surf camps when you can stay newly built Suzi Beach House.
