I felt like family only 24 hours after arriving (as a young solo traveler who has never been to Asia). They constantly showed me around their island. Toris also taught me how to surf in only a few days & his family taught me how to cook Indonesian style! I 100% recommend getting the full meal package, as all meals are home cooked and delicious! The location is perfect, right on the beach & only a couple minutes from the touristy areas of the island. Toris is one of the best people I have ever met & I will never forget my time spent here. I am already looking forward to coming back!

Yuni was friendly, helpful and communicated well. He organised our shuttle transportation for 3 cars to transport our large group and all our surfboards. Great view from the deck where you can watch the point and see your own crew catching waves. AC rooms, easy, clean and tidy. Flush toilet. Great spot, and I would stay again.

Aloha guest house is great. If you want a new nice room with AC they have it. Bunga the owner has all the information about town and he can arrange a taxi. Also it is slightly away from the town center so less noise but you can still see the wave from the back . Highly recommended

The family is welcoming, the location is perfect and Mama Kristovs food is delicious. Would 100% recommend!

Guests can dine in the restaurant or a drink at the bar and free WiFi is available. Had an amazing stay at Salty Dog Hostel. The most beautiful sunsets are there and surf is about 20 mins away. Arif is the most genuine and helpful person we have met in Indonesia, and he's surely the coolest guy on Nias! He helped us out on many occasions and always offered genuine advice and willingness to share the Nias culture. Thanks for the great time and see you again!

Very nice, friendly, relaxed vibe at Jamburae Lodge. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the garden area is beautiful, the breakfast was delicious with good variety of options, and the dinners are fresh and delicious. Lagundri Bay is all about the surf, and this is the perfect place to stay. If you don´t take your own board, they have a decent variety for rental. The best thing is that they have a private a little pier that lets you paddle directly to or back from the break, or there is a keyhole in the reef about a 5 minute walk for a shorter paddle to the lineup. All in all, we loved our stay at Jamburae and highly recommend.
