Decent breakfast for the price (including tasty glasses of colorful juice). Free pass to the beautiful onsen next door (got outdoor onsen overlooking the ocean).

Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! Everything, it was an amazing stay. Miyajima was my favorite place in Japan and this guesthouse was incredible

I stayed in Japan for a month, and my one night stay here is an absolute stand out moment in the trip. From arriving at the island and sending off our luggage with the shuttle to being dropped off at the ferry by the shuttle on our last day. Every interaction with the team was friendly and professional. I think it's absolutely worth spending a little extra to get the open air bath with a view, soaking in the views while soaking in the tub was extraordinary.

Situated within 30 km of Saikokuji Temple and 31 km of Senkoji Temple, Bed&Cafe Onzo オンゾー features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Onomichi. With free private parking, the property is 24 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine and 27 km from Saikon-ji Temple. Shinsho-ji Temple is 38 km away and Miroku no Sato is 39 km from the guest house. We booked two rooms for our family of four. We were pleasantly surprised how spacious they were, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The host was incredibly kind, he suggested the best places to eat and buy locally produced lemon pastries, and when we were leaving, he brought his cat, Tiger, and waved goodbye to us. As we were on a three-day bike trip and only had our small backpacks with us, we loved the fact that everything was provided: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, tooth brushes, toothpaste, mouth wash, etc. In each room there were even a couple of bottles of water and everything for making tea and coffee. In the common spaces there was a microwave, guidebooks, manga books, and a wall full of Toso Maps of the Shimanami Kaido trail. We will definitely book Bed&Cafe Onzo again next time we bike the Shimanami Kaido!
