This one being the best I've had the pleasure of staying in. The cleanliness is equivalent to some of the fanciest hotels out there, I can't overstate how comfy the common areas and rooms are. The onsen is great, although not very large. I picked the cheapest room option, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a massive room with wall sized view right into the forest, comfortable bunk beds with excellent ventilation.

A traditional home situated in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood about 10 minutes away from train station. His English is really good and his sense of humour even better. His knowledge of the area and itinerary suggestions worked very well for us. We’d highly recommend the local izakaya 800m from his place.

Sumptuous breakfast that we didn't get hungry until dinner time. 7. The host, friendly and accommodating.
