Savets homestay is outside of the main city of Battembang. It is a very beautiful property and I felt like I was in the jungle. The bed was comfortable and the room was cozy. His friend drove me around for a half day tour and then we met up later with some other guests. It was a very memorable experience. If you have the chance take it. Free parking is provided. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. I am a solo traveler and when I reserve a table at a restaurant, I usually get a small table in the back. Not at Maisons Wat Kor! The staff had prepared one of the most beautiful tables at the restaurant for me. The table had an amazing view over the water. I truly appreciate the effort they made. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Furthermore, I loved the salt water pool. The temperature of the water was perfect, not too cold. The rooms are spacious and decorated in a traditional Khmer style. The hotel feels authentic. Finally, I booked a massage and it was one of the best massages I ever had. Simply amazing!

I had the chance to help cook dinner one evening, which turned into an unforgettable cultural exchange. The homestay is surrounded by beautiful countryside, and the hosts were kind enough to lend me a bicycle to explore the nearby villages, temples, and rice fields. It was peaceful, scenic, and gave me a real glimpse into rural Cambodian life. If you’re looking for a genuine, heartwarming experience beyond the usual tourist spots, I can’t recommend this homestay enough. It’s perfect for travelers who want to slow down and connect with locals in a meaningful way.

Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. John and Anut were amazing hosts. They made sure you're a well cared for. Went out for coffee in the morning, got some breakfast at the local market. Even took me on an outing for the day to their second property in the country. Anut, John and I had some great conversations. I hung out with Kimlang and UTI in the gardens. Kimlang is an excellent cook. I would highly recommend meal there. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. And they were just nice people to hang out with. He will just love a Anut's smile.
