The food (both breakfast and dinner) was to die for. All home-cooked by the grandmother with so much love and flavour. The family was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to help us: sharing honest tips about what to visit in Anuradhapura, organising a half-day safari, and arranging transport with fair prices. But what makes this place truly special is their story. They started with just one room about 10 years ago and gradually grew to eleven, without ever raising their prices for food or accommodation. Hands down, this was the best quality stay and food I had in Sri Lanka so far.

I loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the host and his family. He was able to help us arrange transportation to/from the guesthouse and also the safari jeep. The location is very quiet despite being by the main road. It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

Wonderful stay with Gihan and Dinu! We stayed twice for a total of 7 nights. A wonderful, authentic experience in Sri Lanka. They are extremely kind and welcoming. They speak English very well, and we were able to take the time to ask questions and discuss many topics such as culture, sports, politics, food, customs, etc. This allowed us to better understand this country. They truly care about their guests, making sure we have everything we need and giving great tips for visiting the city and its surroundings. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner if needed (we recommend trying it at least once because it's delicious). We did the cooking program, which involves buying ingredients at the market and then cooking together. It was great to see all the flavors they add to the dishes we enjoyed afterwards. They know a contact for a safari in Wilpattu National Park and can help organize it. Regarding the accommodation, it's located on a very quiet alley. There's a kitchen available and a pleasant terrace overlooking the small garden. The rooms are well-equipped and pleasant. We recommend a stay here for a wonderful human experience. They organized an amazing safari for me, making the experience completely hassle-free. The location is perfect, offering a serene and picturesque setting that feels like a true escape into nature. The Sri Lankan food served here was exceptional – fresh, flavorful, and authentic. This is an ideal place for anyone visiting Wilpattu National Park.
