So much genuine hospitality and care in wonderful, tranquil nature. Francisco came to pick us up from the bus and waited for an hour because the bus broke down. We arrived to wonderful dinner, made from ingredients grown on his farm. The next day we explored the Somoto Canyon, which was amazing. Returned to more wonderful meals and hanging out with all the cute animals which are all part of the family. It was our highlight in Nicaragua!

This place is really a home stay and not a hostel, which was a pleasant surprise for me. I had tremendous fun jumping and swimming down Somoto Canyon with Juan on his tour. Delicious (and inexpensive!) meals by his wife. I extended my stay an extra night it was so pleasant. Cool air in the evenings, and warm during the day. Far enough off the highway to barely hear the trucks going by. Great WiFi to watch Netflix. What a wonderful introduction to Nicaragua this was!

We were only staying for a night before we crossed the Nicaraguan border but it was an extremely comfortable and pleasant stay after a long day of travelling. We had to leave before breakfast started to catch our bus, but the staff realised this when we checked in and asked for help with transportation the following day and were kind enough to prepare us food the following morning earlier than 7 so that we had a meal before we left! Highly recommend
