The apartment is separated from the main house, but is still close enough if you require anything. It is fully equipped with everything you need. It is fairly modern, and the kitchen is full equipped. There is also a resident elk that appears from time to time. But it depends, as they can be quite shy. If you want a memorable stay and accommodation that is of a high standard, then you should be happy here. We will always try to stay here when we visit this part of Norway.

Most importantly, the staff members were all super nice and helpful- our car ran out of battery in the morning, and the staff members helped us to jumpstart very quickly. Communication was smooth as well. Overall, it was an absolutely amazing experience!

At the hotel, every room has a wardrobe. The rooms are fitted with a private bathroom with a shower, while some rooms also boast a balcony and others also feature city views. This hostel is actually a student residence, which rooms are rented out to tourists in the summer. I had a large double room with plenty of space, which was nice. The bathroom was also larger than expected, but the shower was quite tight for some reason. Free parking was a nice perk. The hostel is in a quiet area. I noticed that it's wheelchair-friendly: ramp outside, elevator, and staircase lift for an intermediate floor. Downtown Mandal isn't very big so it's easy to walk anywhere, and they have maps (and good advice) at the front desk.
