They picked me up the airport, showed me around and stopped at an ATM. The room and the whole apartment was super clean and nicely decorated. Very cozy. Big plus, there is a washing machine, free to use and a fully equipped kitchen. Free tea and coffee. WLAN stable. I loved the location, everyday I walked down to the City and met very nice local people. There is also a local bus running, easy to use. One day JR took me and another guest to a Military museum, a shipwreck and some other interesting places in and around Honiara for a reasonable price. I can highly recommend to choose Island Home for your stay.

The location has wonderful views, however, it is a little distance from the CBD which is problem if you're traveling for work. For a holiday a more flexible work schedule - this would not apply. The apartment itself, including Wi fi and all the facilities were excellent and well maintained.

The Coral Sea Resort is a unique blend of warm Solomon Islander hospitality and South Pacific sophistication. Everyone was very helpful, nice restaurant with great service and servers. If I return to Guadalcanal I will stay at this hotel again.

The rooms are terraced along a steep hillside, and serviced by a cable car. I stayed on the top level (4th). Ride the car up, and then walk back down the meandering paths, surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens. Great views of the town and ocean from private balcony. The rooms themselves are simple and budget - but overall the setting and location is perfect.
