This was our third or fourth trip here to Single Island Shores! We love the cabins, the quietness and just being here and unplugging for a few days. We visited here to hike at Watkins Glen and also to break up the drive to Niagara Falls, and did not regret staying here. The property overlooks the lake - there is no lake access but there are nice trails that run to a creek and waterfall that makes for a nice hike. Rocky, the owner's chocolate lab, is such a sweet dog and we enjoyed having him around. We stayed in a room with a balcony that overlooks the lake, and it was nice in the evening to sit with a beer or wine and enjoy the view. The staff at the in-house restaurant was also very warm and attentive.

The mansion retains si many historical features with a bright dining area and cozy little bar . And the staff ate all so friendly and great to share their knowledge of the regional attractions and everything to enjoy at the inn.
