Located at Ipak Bay, North Tanna, Rockwater Resort features a private beach and landscaped gardens. Return airport transfers are included upon request from the property. The owners Silvana and John, as well as the staff always gave five star service. My wife who was not feeling well, was attended to by Silvana and she even had medication‘s flown in for the next day. The property is sensational from the lush landscape to the well appointed cave like rooms were enchanting. I have dove and snorkel in many places around the world. Rock Waters marine preserve right off their property equal. The best I have ever been to consider considering cuisine can be a challenge on Tanna Rock water chefs presented every single meal that was absolutely delicious. I cannot say enough about Rock Water resort. Thank you again Jon and Silvana.

He really welcomed us with open arms and organised everything we wanted to do on the island for us. He showed us the real original Vanuatu 10/10

Without her prompt answer and exact suggestion and detailed information to every question I raised, I wouldn’t have made this volcano tour realized. Thank you Matha, and your team! Let the earthquake go by and everything turn good! The volcano eruption was so magnificent, such an unforgettable experience! Again many thanks!

We got to experience true island hospitality and kindness that went above our expectations. Morsen helped us arrange a volcano tour and all other transfers (riding like the locals, on the back of pickups!), and Susi recommended a walk to their local waterfalls and the community's kastom dance. Make sure you bring enough cash as there are so many awesome trips and activities to spend it on. We were treated by generous and delicious meals and learnt how to prepare local dishes. Our bungalow was comfortable and had a beautiful view over Mt Yasur. We loved learning local games from the children too and getting to spend time with them. It was a true slice of Tanna paradise and community life.

He and his family were so hospitable , it was the highlight of my stay on Tanna to stay with them , they have a beautiful beach just 10min walk which the village children love to play in , the water is crystal clear . I love the hut it’s a tradition style and the food was beautiful , organic and fresh which his wife makes over traditional wood fire . I highly recommend staying with Charlie and using his tours . Not to forget Tom his driver who knows his stuff when it comes to four wheel driving through the volcanic ash plains and rivers to get to the top of the volcano . ( Charlie is a math teacher at the village school , supplies are limited on the island so recommend brining some stationary , pens , crayons , books ect )

They were so gracious with their time without being over bearing on your privacy. This is the spot to stay when checking out the volcano side of Tanna. You will have everything you need to see the vanuatu culture from the perfect location. For reasonable rates, the hosts will take care of any other logistic you need. -Set up the 2 hour car ride to and from the airport. -Local recipe dinners by Susan and she’s a great cook. I believe they offered lunch as well but I was going on these great adventures they offer to guide you through: -A local village that will show you dances and rituals of their indigenous culture -A hot spring heated river that flows into the ocean overlooking the volcano -And of course, the hike to the rim of the volcano. I had so much time to chat with the family and they are all so kind. I don’t leave reviews, I was very compelled on this one. Stay in this treehouse. Friendly reminder to grab cash and break it down in Port Vila or at the market in Tanna.
