I would highly recommend this place for the following reasons: - to start with the price for two nights was super low. - the location was good, just a 10 mins walk from the old bazaar and 15mins walk from the castle. The hostess's son had saved a parking space outside the guest house for us. - the hostess prepared a big, delicious breakfast. Definitely a good pick!

Excellent hotel! A must stay for Gjirokaster. Very new and the hosts are amazing! They were so welcoming and friendly, on hand for everything we needed and we received such great service. They truly made us feel at home and we were even given some handmade embroidery as a gift - so thoughtful. The hotel is very modern but with a very traditional Albanian feel to it. Breakfast was enormous and so delicious, such good value. The location was great at the foothill of the city and a nice walk up to the top. Only 20min walk to the castle. And 10 min walk to the bus station. Taxis were €2/3. Highly recommended :)

What a wonderful experience I had staying in this lovely historic house! I had it all to myself. It felt very indulgent. It's full of character, cool and quiet. A true delight. The quirky little nook underneath the house was a real treat. It's incredible value for money and in great location. If you're driving there, be prepared to navigate some of Gjirokaster's narrow, cobbled streets! The host was very friendly, helpful, quick to respond to queries, and so clearly proud of the traditional Gjirokaster house, which has been in his family for over 300 years old. 1800's may not be to everyone's liking, but I loved it, and I would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Argjiro Traditional. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Gjirokastër, perfect for exploring the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and fresh. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Very lovely hostel with an amazing terrace overlooking the castle and the valley. Very comfy room, where each bed has a curtain for more privacy. Also it had a balcony with a great view of the castle as well. Clean bathroom and shower. Friendly owner. Perfect location just 5 minutes from the center. Super recommended!

The hosts are amazing! The fact that they are not fluent in English is not a problem, as they make sure to make you feel at home all the time. Bedrooms are very spacious, with very comfortable beds, and we even had our own kitchen. Their breakfast is delicious, and they ask you what time we would like to have it. They serv it in the terrace (if it's not raining), so you have a great view while you're eating. It has some eggs, sausages, tomatoes, cucumber, cheese, bread, jam and fruits. We didn't tried it, but they also offer some homemade dinner for 10 euros, and we definitely regret not doing that, because the breakfast was great and they also gave us some byrek during one of our nights and it tasted sooo good. And before we left, they gave us a jar of their homemade jam. Do not doubt if you want to book it, just go for it! Faleminderit 😍

    We booked it because it was among the few pet friendly options in Gjirokaster (even though at the end we didn’t bring the dog), it was the best choice we could have made. A spacious villa with a yard entirely for us with free parking. The center is not even 5 mins walk away. We were very happy with the service and communication with our host. Whenever we go back to Gjirokaster, we know where to go 😊
