This is the perfect place to stay if you want to get to know the real Sal and its people. The owners went above and beyond to make me feel not only welcome, but truly at home. The room was super comfy, and the food was always delicious (be sure to try one of Candida's secret recipes for dinner, if you get the chance). I was provided with all the help and advice I needed in order to explore the island, and Candida and Martin personally took me to places that only local people know about. If, like me, you prefer a quiet, remote beach over those crowed, touristy ones: there's a small one just a short bicycle ride away – although I usually opted for a walk through to beautiful steppe landscape to get there. If you prefer spending your days with the other tourists down in the south of the island: Santa Maria beach is only 20 minutes by bus – which may sound complicated at first, but is actually super fun and convenient (and it only costs 1 Euro). I could go on praising this place for two weeks (which is actually the amount of time I stayed), but I'll just stop here – not without saying: Thank you, Candida & Martin, for the wonderful time at kleine schweiz! Perfect location next to stunning and quiet beaches. With a shared pool, restaurant/bar, and small shop all within a couple of minutes walk. The apartment was well furnished with everything you would need including aircon, a hammock on the balcony, and although it wasn't mentioned on the listing when we booked, there is wifi that works well. The check-in and check-out process was simple and straightforward, and the host very friendly and quick to reply to messages. Everything was perfect, and I would highly reccomend this apartment for people visiting Cape Verde :)

We reach Palmeira at around midnight (ferry from Santo Antão). After just 5 minutes walk from the harbour we reached La Vela. Milanca sent us great instructions for the self-check-in. The room has many useful details and fed all our needs. You can feel that not just the rooms were designed and equipped with great passion for the guests. The bus stop just outside was the right place to continue our journey to Santa Maria.

We traveled as a family and the apartment was just what we were looking for: comfortable, well-equipped, and peaceful. The location is excellent, very close to the beach, the facilities were above expectations and the pool was great and the security of the place was impeccable. We felt very welcome and had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

Great communication with the owner and manager, it is a very good appartement with everything you need. The owner has prepared a great guide to find everything you need to know! The location is great to avoid the big tourism in Sal but still have everything what you need close by. Perfect also if you want to do water sport.
