My third stay here and it is still perfect for cyclists and hikers and for groups and families. Arriving wet and muddy, the welcome is warm. Refreshed by a warm shower and coffee and cake in the restaurant. Dinner, usually a buffet, was an Easter special and very good value. Breakfast buffet was excellent. There are laundry facilities and a bike workshop if needed and plenty of space to relax and recover from the day's exertions.

Hotel Franziskushöhe Lohr is surrounded by the forests of the Bayerischer Spessart Nature Park. It offers rooms with lovely views and a restaurant serving traditional cuisine.

Clean , the beds are super comfortable. The shutters allow for total darkness equals great sleep. Breakfast was amazing , the attention to details and variety of foods were second to none . I’d stay here every time .

A comfortable modern hotel which is only a short walk from the historic town centre. We asked for a wheelchair friendly room and were given one. The hotel was sufficiently good that we decided to extend our stay for a further night. There is direct access from the hotel to the Main cycleway via a shared footway/cycleway on the newer of the two bridges over the river. This is not immediately obvious but we found it.
