Very calm, quiet, privacy and beautiful amazing location.

It’s a charming place, clean and comfortable.

Beautiful cottage. It’s a way out of town (check the map) we didn’t have a car but Miia kindly arranged pickup and drop off with a stop at the shops for food. I absolutely loved my stay but I’ve detailed a few differences with this cottages to what you might expect so that you can get an accurate impression. The most important thing is the cottage does not have running water or a bathroom. You will need to bring drinking water, and water for washing/dishes/sauna is hand pumped from a well outside. There is an outside composting toilet, which is perfectly fine and was not difficult to use even as I was there in winter… I just needed to put on a jacket and shoes and was comfortable. The stairs are very steep, not suitable for anyone unsteady on their feet. Downstairs is the bunk bed. Upstairs has a double bed and a single bed (no walls or doors though, it’s an open mezzanine level). Wood for the fire is included and you use dried bark as the firelighters. The central heating kept the house warm even without the fire. The Sauna is attached to the side of the house and uses a wood fire. It takes a couple of hours to heat up. There is also a big water tank in the sauna which uses a wood fire beneath to heat up, you can use this water for washing in the sauna. The instructions state only to use one lot of wood under the tank which was good advice as it got very hot and any more would have made it boil which would be dangerous. Miia also gave us use of a battery powered camping shower so we could wash easily. The cottage is on the river which is completely frozen over winter. It is walking distance from Villa Karhukumpu which we used for activities, where Jrki the owner was very kind and helpful. Overall I found Miia to be extremely helpful as a host, and the place is as beautiful as the pictures.

Such a great stay! We got the sauna and the fireplace explained, it was such a beautiful area to stay, close by shopping options and the airport also near by.

Great cottage in the middle of the forest. Perfect spot to spend a few nights with friends and explore the Ivalo and Inari area. The kitchen is very well-equipped, the living room is cozy and the bedrooms are comfortable. Bed linen and towels are provided. We had an issue with the sauna and the host was very responsive and made her best to resolve the situation as soon as possible. Highly recommend!

We stayed a wonderful week in Norlight Cottages - Aurinko East with our small dog, it the best vacation home we ever visited. Located in the middle of the forest with beautiful lake view. We could The cottage has everything we need - comfortable couch, fireplace, kitchen and kitchenette, sauna, smart TV and bed. Patrick and Nyima were very kind and helpful. Patrick even came in the morning on the day we leave to clear the snow on the road for us, thank you very much and see you again!

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location, where everything was as promised. Gorgeous views of Lake Rahajärvi and a great place to see the northern lights. Lovely surroundings, especially when traveling with dogs. The hosts were very helpful and easy to communicate with. We would absolutely stay at Tuli again!

We were happy that we found this spacious cottage for 10 people. All the necessary equipments were there, cottage was very clean, combination of sauna and swimming in the lake was amazing! The location was also convenient, just 5 mins drive from the Ivalo airport. The owner We are very much satisfied staying there and recommend this place to everyone!
