The house was perfect. Very comfortable Living room, hot saune, spacious bedrooms...so much better than expected. We even had a Christmas tree :-) The location is close to Ranua (15 minutes by car) and Rovaniemi (1 hour).

This is probably, the nicest, most unique stay that I have ever had. The setting of the igloos is breathtaking, the actual igloos are so comfortable and well appointed. There is nothing to describe lying in a cosy bed looking at the stars, or opening your eyes to an orange glow across a frosty lake. Breakfast was brilliant, so much choice, although I did discover that seems to be standard in Finland. It is a beautiful, peaceful and calming environment. Oh and the staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble.

Opened in December 2012, this Finnish Lapland property is set in Ranua Wildlife Park, 5 minutes’ drive from central Ranua.

A very spacious, clean appartment. Everything there that you need, incl. parking. Sauna was very nice. Directly on a lake, unfortunately no snow shoes to run on it.

Arctic guesthouse and igloo are located just an hour away from Rovaniemi with good access via public transport and just a 10 min walk away from bus stop. The owners of the guesthouse were kind enough to allow us to check-in earlier than the usual time, and provided us with all the necessary information related to the igloo stay. The igloos are situated right on the lake which makes the view surreal. The shared washrooms are clean and well maintained and the bio toilet in the igloo works well too. The bonus point being the availability of free usage of sauna when booking the igloos.

It was the perfect family stay in Lapland! The cottage is located beside a lake, surrounded by trees, and in absolute tranquility - exactly what we've been looking for! The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable (a lot of extra beds!), clean, and the vibe is very cozy. The host, Juho, is very accommodating and easy to reach. He provided us with clear instructions on checking in/out, how to use the sauna, and even alerted us when there's an Aurora Borealis! We simply had to go outside and the Aurora Borealis is right above the frozen lake, in our backyard! It was truly a magical moment for us! Thank you for this wonderful experience!
