We loved our stay at Cascarot. We had a very comfortable bedroom with lots of style and a magnificent ensuite bathroom. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves delicious food at a fair price. The views and the ambiance of the terrace are wonderful and it’s great to while away some time there. The terrace a surprise as you don’t have any idea that it is there from the front of the hotel. They had secure storage for our cycles. And we were allowed the use of the terrace when we arrived mid afternoon before check in time.

We had problem with internet but our host waited for us patiently. Nice, clean house, good size bedroom with nice wardrobe and comfortable large bed, 2 single beds in another room. Kitchen with all what you will need, hair dryer, towels, toiletries in bathroom. We had nice morning view and amazing neighbours -2 horses just across the gate, lovely cat visited us every evening. Good WiFi, really great place just around 35minutes drive from Dijon.

The food (bfst and dinner) and accommodations were great- highly recommend eating as many dinners as possible in-house, which you must arrange in advance. Jan is a skilled chef, and is pleasant to chat with. We were looking for a quiet village in a quaint and historic setting, which this is, and additionally, it's right on a lovely river. Plenty of nice walking and biking on flat terrain. Church bells at 8 AM, which delightfully prevented us from sleeping through our vacation. Decor is cozy antiques, with good lighting and many options for sitting. Good bathroom facilities and nice shower with good water pressure (filtered, even for showers, since lots of chalk in the local water). Jan has many good recommendations for touristing. We wish we'd had more than 4 days there. Jan is fluent in English, French, German, and Dutch- and perhaps other languages, as well- which makes communications easy. His well behaved dog Lupette was a delight. Area is quiet- no noise from roads or pedestrians. Easy drive to the tourist sights we visited. Good Wifi.
