Sharon and Paul are fabulous hosts. The B&B is very cute with a lovely and carefully curated garden. The room was very comfortable and cozy with everything we needed, including fresh milk in the fridge. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide selection of cooked breakfast and cereals, toast, yummy jams and yogurts and fresh fruits. The B&B location was perfect for our trip, close to Dunster Castle and Minehead.

It was so relaxing , the views were beautiful and your left to just enjoy the break. We had howling wind, and that was lovely when your in the hot tub . There is complementary tea and coffee and sugar, although we used these , I made sure to refill them for the next guests .

From the fresh cut flowers in the bedrooms to the coffee and walnut cake (it was delicious) to the lovely garden area and the well stocked kitchen utensils which are often overlooked it is hard to say how much we loved our stay. Phil and Fran were great hosts. They got in touch on the day of our arrival to let us know when Stable Cottage would be ready for us. When I mentioned it was me, my son and my Mum they suggested setting up a pull out bed to give flexible sleeping options which was a truly inspired idea. We loved the location finding plentiful details of things to do in the area. On our first day we walked from Stable Cottage along Triscombe combe to Will’s Neck and back (we choose the steep descent down worth it for the views but not for the faint hearted). On our second day we took a short drive to the West Somerset Railway. We travelled from Bishop’s Lydeard to Watchet (lunch at Star Inn, the small Watchet Museum, harbour and children’s play park) to Minehead then a return train back to Bishop’s Lydeard. Our third day we headed for East Quantockhead parked and walked down to the beach for some fossil hunting heading to Kilve Beach, ice cream at Chantry tea gardens and along a path along the edge of fields and in a wood back to the car. Dinner at The Windmill Inn, West Quantockhead topped off a great day. Stable Cottage is a lovely place to stay - we hope to be back

The location is perfect with a car park across the road. The property is clean and nicely decorated . The 2 showers are very welcome, especially the ground one. The garden is paved and easy to get comfortable in the selection of seats. The galley kitchen has almost everything you could want for a holiday.

Location perfect for my purposes. Nice and quiet surroundings that were accessible for me and the dog. Airy room with an opening window. (so many seem to be screwed shut these days in some hotels)

The host/owners were lovely people, very friendly ad helpful. Dog friendly hotel..............my pouch got her own special sausage! On the edge of the moor; very isolated and perfect for hiking/dark sky star gazing. Fresh cooked breakfast of local products. In house restaurant with nice home cooked food, well stocked wine rack - so didn't have to go looking for a restaurant. Lovely to chill out in the comfy lounge bar.

The warm welcome, Simon and Caroline are excellent hosts! The room was spacious with a great view, the bed really comfy, bathroom had everything we needed. The rooms were seperate from the Inn which meant they were quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and had an excellent evening meal - loved the bar & garden, both very relaxing and Simon ensured our glasses remained full as we sat and chatted in the bar and enjoyed a relaxing evening with family which we'd not done in years. Most important it's dog friendly!!

Gorgeous property in an outstanding location. Beautifully decorated pub with a fabulous garden. Proprietors and staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Very dog friendly indeed. My dog even got a sausage for breakfast! We had breakfast and dinner at the property. Both were excellent and good value for money. Sadly, we were only here for one night, but at least that means we need to go back!
