The greyhound inn was an amazing place to stay! We loved every second of our stay and was honestly sad our stay ended. The room was absolutely immaculate and the beds were so comfortable. We had everything we needed provided such as clean bedding with blankets, toiletries with fresh towels, tea coffee and sugar with a kettle, WIFI and TV. The staff was absolutely amazing and such lovely down to earth people and i honestly can’t thank them enough for the attention to detail and done everything and more to make our stay an absolute pleasure. The greyhound is a beautiful pub in the heart of the countryside within the Lake District. The prices were more than reasonable and there it was so lovely to have a meal and drinks of an evening and had a real sense of comfort. We would 100% be booking to come back and stay again. I would lastly like to say a special thank you to Lisa for making our stay so perfect. Our time at the greyhound was so perfect and we can not wait to come back again. Thank you all so much.

The room was clean and with good size, the bed was really confortable. Excellent breakfast as well. The staff is lovely and the food from the pub is amazing, best fish and chips I've ever had in UK!

We liked everything ❤️ comfortable sofa with lots of cushions, fantastic shower and absolutely equipped kitchen… everything what you can need and more, spare dogs bowls and towels, additional towels for us if we need it. Just like at home😍 lots of board games for children and families, soft carpet to even sit on it and walking barefoot. Hosts are absolutely fabulous, friendly and welcoming. Sue and Howard were our first hosts who welcomed us personally . They show us everything in and out. Just can’t recommend more… lovely place, lovely people, just perfect.

    Lovely apartment with all the mod cons. A bit out of the way but walking distance to a pub that does meals. Bedrooms downstairs and living areas upstairs. Was very hot when we were there so we had the windows open but that meant it was noisy from the road . Dog friendly but no outdoor area so had to take her on the side of the road late at night and first thing in the morning.. couldn't find the information book so struggled a bit with the TVs. Mattress in the second bedroom was very soft but I'm sure wouldn't be a problem for some

    The cottage was beautifully decorated, spotless. It is very spacious, 2 huge living rooms. Everything was really thought out, and we had everything we needed. NIce views and great location. Coffee van and pub very close. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful and luxurious retreat in the Lake District.
