The location was excellent, a 5 minute walk to the main street. The property had everything and more for what you would need. The cottage was modern, yet it still felt like a cottage. My granddaughter loved the bunkbed

Perfect base for us while visiting family who lived close to the property in the village. A home from home. Plenty of room for 6 adults. View of Craggy Wood at the back was lovely. The train runs at the back of the property but you hardly notice it when in the property.

I love that this place offers such a high standard for a very reasonable rate. As a single mum this is so nice to be able to afford somewhere so nice to stay. My other option was a hostel as the hotels were even out of my price range and this is my little piece of heaven when I go and do my hobby of walking. I hope I can keep returning and have this as my regular spot. This was my second time here. Also like to point out the history of the RAF is a very nice personal touch and lovely to read about.

I couldn’t rate this home more highly. The attention to detail of the property was exquisite; the beautiful furnishings, the homely lighting, crisp white linen and the welcome treats upon arrival. The property is exceptionally well kitted out, with added extras- hot chocolate maker, air fryer, record player and clear ‘shop locally / environmentally conscious’ theme throughout. Everything within the property felt well thought through and purposeful. Very clean and tidy upon arrival. We agree without a doubt that we’ll be visiting again. The location of the apartment was great (directly on front street, walking distance to bus and train station and all shops). The interior was cosy and brand new. The host was very nice. All the facilities were great and easy to use since there was a manual and information booklet regarding the apartment and the surrounding areas.

Everything was great. The bed was large and very comfy. The apartment is located right in the middle of the town center which makes everything really easy to get to. The facilities were really modern and easy to use. The management are really friendly and easy to talk to.

    The location of The Wee Toad Hole was fantastic. You are right on the edge of the high street and everything is is walking distance. The park on the other side of the main road was beautiful. The property itself was lovely and cosy and had everything we could have needed. It was very clean and tidy and everything was explained to us via an information sheet. It was great that it was dog friendly and we will definitely be staying there again in the future.

    Excellent location and so easy for a walk into town and also the railway station was so close by.the cottage itself was spot on in every way it was like being in your own home because everything you could want was provided.excellent communication from the hosts and we will definitely be back next year and stay longer as well.the dogs had a great time because just about everywhere in kendal and windermere were super dog friendly 😀

    Spacious, comfortable room with a lovely view of Killington Lake. The receptionist was extremely friendly and welcoming. Handy location within half an hour's drive of the Lake District at a fraction of the price of the hotels nearer to the lakes. Pet friendly too which meant I didn't have to leave my dog at home.
