This is an excellent local pub in a tiny village - ideal for walking by the Thames or visiting Kemscott House. Dinner was outstanding and breakfast was delightful - poached eggs with smoked salmon or a full English served with a chef's flair. Even the breakfast room had a log fire blazing when we came down! The bedroom was small but well appointed - even had a classic clawfoot bathtub! (ask for room 3). A little out of the way, but ideal if you want to be in that area.

    Great location just off The Ridgeway walking trail so good overnight stop. Also close to The White Horse Uffington. We stayed on a Thursday - pizza night! Delicious is understating how wonderful their stone baked pizzas were. Highly recommend. Accommodation to side of pub and purpose built. Nicely decorated duplex’ style room with bathroom upstairs. Very comfortable.

    This pub is a hide gem. Idiotic location for quite nights sleep. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The Woolstone is a traditional pub offering excellent food, and Ales is all served by friendly and welcome staff. If we are in the area and need somewhere to stay, the Woolstone will be our first choice 😊
