We had an amazing time in the bamboo house. It's one of the best experience in Bali, really authentic. The vieuw is incredible, you are living in the middle of the rice plan and you will sleep with the sounds of the nature. Best way to disconect. Gede and his wife are really nice, they helped us with the moto bike rental, they organised for us the cleaning ceremony with a local shaman, and they will help you for any request. You can also order food and eat at home. Everything was perfect thank you so much ! I recomand this place !

Everything ! The bed was very comfortable, the owner are very nice. The place is quiet and you can see fireflies at night. The bungalow is well built with nice materials. The view on the rice fields is amazing. They have only 2 bungalows. One has the balcony directly on the rice fields and the other one is on the side (still very nice), this is great as you don't see anyone from your balcony, very private :)

Absolutely gorgeous homestay. Gede has thought of everything for your comfort. It was a pleasure to be the first guest. The bed is incredibly comfortable, breakfast was perfect. I stayed 3 nights at Makna Homestay & Spa and loved it so much that I decided to extend for one more night. The peaceful atmosphere, the stunning views, and the overall vibe made me feel at ease from the very first moment. What stood out the most was Komang. She is truly wonderful—always attentive, warm, and thoughtful. I had two massages with her and I can 100% recommend them: some of the best I’ve ever experienced, deeply relaxing and with so much care in every detail. The room was comfortable, spotless, and offered beautiful views of the rice fields and the mountain—perfect for slowing down, reading, and enjoying the quiet. Makna is a place I would definitely return to, not only because of its location and facilities, but because Komang makes the stay feel so special and memorable.

The stay at Vishala from 2-4 Aug was magical. If you are ever put off by the distance from more popular tourist spots, don’t be. (1) It provided a respite and quietness not easily found elsewhere. (2) The bamboo resort was comfortable, with the best views (which just keeps giving). It was truly a natural beauty providing great views of Mt Agung and excellent views of the rice terrace. (3) Adi and the team made sure to welcome us with the best hospitality (warm welcome, breakfast to our doorstep, checking in on how the stay has been). Adi also bought us on the tour of the rice terraces and addressed any transport woes/ concerns we initially had. The team was so committed to caring for us, it made our stay so much more pleasant. I’m still thinking bout this place, and long to be back even after leaving. 10/10 recommend.

    Really warm and friendly staff, super reactive on Whatsapp. The location is amazing, it’s in the middle of nowhere, really calm and peaceful! But still 5 min on scooter from the main road with a lot of local Warungs and convenient stores. The villa is beautiful, clean and pet friendly. The garden is big and really well maintained. There’s a mini fridge with full set of cutlery (knife, bowls, plates, etc). We ordered food from room service and it was yummy and quickly prepared! The Soto Ayam was really good!
