Its located in a coffee farm and has a peaceful edge of the forest vibe. The road to the place in unpaved but no problem for a car. For solo travellers I recommend the upper room and for couple of family, the lower rooms. The host, Umesh is exceptionally warm, he and his wife prepared delicious meals for the guests. He also served snacks and coffee and breakfast.

During our trip to Chikmagalur, we stayed at Hippla Home Stay, expecting just a simple one-night stay, but we were surprised by the hospitality and warmth we received, which took our experience to the next level. Our stay at the Edge has been amazing: on a coffee plantation in an exceptional environment we have been welcomed very kindly. The rooms are spacious and very nice, and the fireside meals in the hall in the beautiful garden are great. This is a superb place in particular in the rainy season ! Food is outstanding, especially the dinners were fabulous: fresh products in many different variations. We loved the barbecue ! You will need a car to get to the location.

The accommodation was fantastic right in the middle of a coffee plantation and far from both noise and air pollution. The hostess Vasavi was very kind and nothing was too much for her. She made sure we were well fed and watered and even made non spicy food for my children who are picky eaters. It’s these small details that stand out. Food is local varieties which I doubt you will get in a ‘star ‘ hotel. Please do try home made passion fruit and fig wine. Thank you Vasavi for your generosity.

Great Location, tasty home made food, super host, clean and spacious rooms, comfortable bed, great value for money, quiet ambiance with sound of birds to wake you up in the morning. Walk through coffee estate , terrace with a nice view of the coffee plantation, indoor(carroms, card games ) and outdoor games (badminton). Perfect place to unwind. Very highly recommended.
