This place was an absolute experience! Everything was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The interior looked good and was well designed, the bathroom door and the facilities. Also it is well situated next to Cargills Supermarket and in short walking distance from the bus stop. The value for money really is very good at this property! The staff is outstanding and they even made me an amazing vegan breakfast. I can highly recommend having a stay here.

We had a lovely stay at Jay’s. He is a great host and his sister is an excellent chef. They made us a great dinner and breakfast with vegetables from their own garden. We often read ‘the best curry’ in many reviews, but I can truly say that this where the best meals we had during our trip in Sri Lanka (and we had many good meals).

I really enjoyed my stay. The owner and the staff are very nice and helpful. The owner organizes trips to the surrounding sights at fair prices. The food is delicious. There are very good storage and locking options for valuables and backpacks in the room. You can also use the pool from the hotel.

My partner and I are backpacking and traveling by bus through Sri Lanka. We stayed here for two days and would like to return if we can before going south. The location is very good and the important places are very close. However, the jewel of this accommodation is the loving family who received us with genuine warmth and shared authentically with us. They speak English very well. Venishia is a delightful conversationalist and an excellent cook (we had delicious and varied vegetarian breakfasts and dinners). Wije is a wise man and explained many things to us about nearby places to visit, culture, life, and Buddhism. Wishwa helped us with everything and with his smile. After only two days we said goodbye with some tears. It was a very enriching and priceless experience, and in these days afterward, we find ourselves every day bringing them to mind in one way or another and always with a smile.
