My family and I stayed here for two nights and had an excellent stay. The manager and staff very friendly people, especially Keethan. The traditional homecooked Sri Lankan breakfast and western breakfast were both phenomenal and the rooms and the pool were very clean and well-maintained. It is located in a good and serene area. This villa made our stay at Galle the best experience.

Wow. I don’t even know where to start! The rooms were very comfortable, with a mosquito net and a powerful fan to keep us cool at night. It was right on the ocean so we were able to sit on our balcony or on one of the lounges and enjoy the gorgeous views of the ocean and the amazing sunsets every day. The best past was the hospitality. Shehan was such an incredible host, he was super accommodating, organising airport transfer from Colombo, taking us to a local temple, teaching us so much of his culture and customs, playing a local game called Carum with us and going out of his way at every opportunity to make it the most amazing experience. He even showed us to two baby turtles that had hatched below the property and we had the magical experience of releasing them that night. The food was top notch, local Sri Lankan breakfasts and two delicious dinners overlooking the beautiful ocean. Truly one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had. I highly recommend.

Location: 10/10 Nestled in the peaceful village of Pitiwella, just a short and pleasant distance from the historic Galle Fort, Villa Serene offers the ideal balance of tranquility and accessibility. We loved being a mere 5-minute stroll from the beautiful Pitiwella Beach, allowing for spontaneous dips in the ocean and stunning sunset walks. The convenience of nearby local shops for daily needs, coupled with easy access to tuk-tuks and the main bus route, meant we could explore Galle and its surroundings effortlessly, yet return to the serene embrace of the villa. Accommodation & Comfort: 10/10 The villa itself is a true gem. Spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, it felt like a home away from home. We stayed in the one-bedroom villa, which was generous in size (around 1873 sq ft!) and boasted a fully equipped kitchen – perfect for those who enjoy preparing their own meals. The air conditioning was a welcome relief from the tropical heat, and the comfortable king-sized bed ensured restful nights. We particularly adored the private balcony with its lush garden views, a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening relaxation. The overall ambiance was one of warmth and genuine comfort. Amenities & Facilities: 10/10 Villa Serene truly goes above and beyond with its offerings. The fast, free Wi-Fi (a speedy 122 Mbps!) was a huge plus, allowing us to stay connected effortlessly. The availability of a washing machine was incredibly convenient for longer stays. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like mosquito nets, a flat-screen TV, and quality linens.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb in Galle! The villa was extremely spacious, perfect for families and groups of friends. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, with a lovely swimming pool for relaxing after a day out. We especially loved the peaceful patio and serene lotus pond. The staff were incredibly dedicated and helpful, and the owner went above and beyond by arranging a separate hotel for our caretaker — and even covering the cost. Such thoughtfulness made our stay truly special. Highly recommend for a comfortable and memorable experience!

My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon and had an amazing time at Villa ArthurCC. The beautiful surroundings, right in front of the beach, were breathtaking and very romantic. You could watch the sunset right from your doorstep. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The owners and hotel manager, Darrell, was particularly friendly and made sure we had a wonderful experience. The breakfast was delicious and a highlight of our stay.
