This place was an absolute experience! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the owner was exceptionally kind and helpful. This homestay has been the most special place we stayed at in Sri Lanka. We spent two nights here and, during our stay, the father of the house, Wije, was alone, so we couldn’t meet his wife. We hope to come back in the future and meet her as well. The price is good and the room very comfortable. There’s the possibility to do laundry, have dinner, breakfast and there’s hot water. The included breakfast was very tasty: pancake, omelette, home-made jam, milk tea and coconut roti. Wije is amazing. We’ve been traveling around Asia for a year, and the very reason why we travel is to meet people like him to share stories and enjoy good conversations. In fact, what we loved the most was listening to his life story. It reminded us that in life we can be many different things, and that when a job or something goes wrong, we can always turn the situation around and start again, creating something even more beautiful. We truly hope to come back here in the future and we recommend everyone to stop by. ❤️❤️❤️

If you are looking for an off the grid place to stay and discover the Dambulla area, I highly recommend the Vihanga Village. A family run place where they even provide the best breakfast ever. The Sambol is to die for with bread. The owner was such a good human that would check on us each morning and provided whatever we asked for. One of our group member had to go to the hospital late night, the owner while being sick himself, drove us to the hospital. I would go back to @vihangavillage each time I am back in the area. A beautiful cabin nestled in the woods. A true natural gem!

The tree house was nestled amongst trees, private, clean, and beautifully presented. The hosts were wonderful, cooked us some lovely meals, showed us their amazing garden and were able to provide transport to key sights and the wholesale food market.
