Raj and the team keep the villa perfectly clean and tidy. It is well appointed and true to all the photos. The food was great and breakfast was delicious. Raj was very responsive assisting with transport and making plenty of helpful suggestions. We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely property, especially for large family groups. We were 6 adults and everyone had plenty of space and was comfortable. Would happily return.

AMAZING STAY. Janaka and his wife are adorable and so hospitable. The place was very peaceful and the views are incredible. Janaka’s wife’s cooking was also nothing short of amazing! Would highly recommend and plan to come back one day in the future!

I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being close to local attractions and transportation. This place was absolutely breathtaking—truly a dream! The house, designed by the host, was just as stunning. You can immediately tell they have incredible taste. Wow! The hosts were beyond kind and welcoming. They gave us a tour of their garden, and it was nothing short of magical. If you can name a fruit or vegetable, they grow it! Breakfast was a feast—fresh, flavorful, and straight from the garden. Every bite was pure joy! All in all, this stay was unforgettable. Before we left, we each planted a durian tree, and we can’t wait to come back in a few years to see it grow. If you're looking for a special place to stay, this is it!

From the first contact with the owner I understand that our experience in this location will be a pleasant one. But in fact what we received was much more than our expectations !!! First the location is very good, easy to arrive by bus, very clean and well decorated, many commodities around. Shawn is the most amazing person we ever met! He helped us with a lot of advice, showed us around, and helped us to arrive in time to the railway station. He is the perfect person to contact if you need any help !!! Always ready to help and to support support people in need! Finally after just one day, we become family friends! His children are amazing, very sweet and well educated! It was really difficult to leave the place ! If you are a single woman travel, this is the best save place to stay in Kandy !

Really enjoyed the stay. Room was very comfy and very much new and clean. The host was very kind and attentive . As the place was recently build the material was high quality and value for money is really good. And also need to add something about bookshelf, We spent time reading the books and that was really nice too And the sound of river flowing that we could hear in the morning was also relaxing

Staying at Tranquilisle went far beyond our expectations on all imaginable parameters. The location is fantastic, some 30 min from Kandy, with beautiful nature embracing you from all sides - and perfectly placed in between stage 1 and 2 of the new and highly recommendable Pekoe Trail. The superb accommodation was exceptionally well thought, designed and build with attention to aesthetics, functionality and simplicity - enforcing the experience of full immersion with the surrounding nature, but with all the luxury one desires. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was very well and timely prepared and based on local produce and recipes - however modified to allow all regardless of age and tastebuds to get their bellies full. Last but not not least the host and his team went far beyond what one can expect of friendly, warm and helpful hospitality and service. Our entire family immediately fell in love with Tranquilisle and didn’t want to leave again. We will come back for sure!
