Especially at a town where it can be rainy it is important for me to have a hostel where I could hang around the whole day. And this is basically what I did at Masha's. All the people working there are so nice, the gallery is really interesting at it's just a really relaxed vibe. It was so quiet and chilled and the food was excellent. The staff were really friendly as were the other guests….. slept like a log, glorious views from our cabin and there was plenty to do (if u wanted to)…, We did a lovely boat trip around the other islands and a fantastic bike mountain bike ride thru rural Rwanda. We even stopped at a school to meet the children and see them in their classrooms…

The host is realy friendly and welcoming. He also works in the local tourism and thus knows great places to visit apart from the gorilla trekking. Our car broke down the morning we wanted to leave and he was a great help with getting the right mechanics.
