South AfricaBeautifully renovated Konak with all the amenities necessary. Centrally located in walking distance from shops, restaurants, tourist attractions. Lovely private courtyard. Very friendly and helpful staff. Gülşah and Batuhan were great hosts and served us great Turkish breakfasts. Batuhan’s English was very good.

The manager spoke very good English and was very helpful throughout our stay. Helped us park our car and advised on bus from airport for our son. We chose mountain view rooms and found them to be very good value. Close to a lovely 900 year old hamam. Excellent breakfast including an omelette and Turkish coffee on request. Hotel room was marvellous (ours has river view with balcony), comfortable bed, clean room and bath. Decoration of the room also is very good. Breakfast was extraordinary. The location is great being in the old part of the city, near the river and keeps in focus the old style of living. Also the staff was very very friendly, the food unbelivable so that I would return here anytime. The guesthouse is just below the tombs and opposite one of the oldest working hamams in the city. The owner was waiting for us, and we were immediately offered apple tea made from the wonderful apples that Amasya is famous for. We were escorted to the parking lot as the guesthouse is right on the most touristy street. The owner also recommended us a great place to eat - just across the river.
