The family who runs the homestay is super nice. The communication is not always easy but we try our best through a translation app. The food our host cooked for us was out of this world, probably some of the best food we had in Vietnam over a month of travelling there! Her husband took us on a day trip on the lake, we had the best time and the region is definitely worth a visit it's gorgeous. The common bathroom was clean and everyone in the homestay was respectful.

Beautiful homestay in Ba Be lake, ran by a lovely family. The homestay is in the small village of Pac Ngoi, there is not much here, just a few other homestays but it is a good location and it has a pier so you can explore the lake. The host organised a boat trip for us that was very good value for money. We ate breakfast and dinner at the homestay and it was some of our favourite Vietnamese food so far.

It was a lovely traditional wooden house. Spending time with the family was great - all so friendly and smiling. The food that was cooked for us was delicious, and the took us out on an amazing boat ride on the family boat.
